Unconventional Dating Mobile Application

The aim of this thesis is to create a new dating app that corrects the shortcomings of existing solutions. It turned out that the main shortcomings are impersonal dating and judging based on appearance. These are corrected by using the psychological model called MBTI and limiting the amount of time that users can chat. The thesis gradually discusses the issue of current applications, the design of solutions for partial problems and lastly the description of the implementation itself. The implementation consists of a cross-platform mobile application and an API. The cross-platform application itself was implemented as a mobile native app using React Native. The API was implemented as a REST API. The app uses Firebase services for data storage, sending notifications and user authentication. The localization API of the device is used to search for suitable connections in the vicinity.
Cross-cultural comparison of reality show Love is Blind (USA, Brazil, Japan)

This final thesis titled as "Cross-cultural comparison of reality show Love Is Blind (USA, Brazil, Japan)" focuses on the adaptation of the popular reality show Love Is Blind in the USA, Brazil, and Japan. The aim of the thesis is to analyze how the physical separation of contestants is reflected in the different cultural versions of the show with an emphasis on presenting these differences. The thesis is divided into two main parts which are the theoretical and the practical part. The theoretical one defines the topic with focus on the phenomenon of reality shows in general, followingly various types of this genre and examples of specific shows. It also includes an cross-cultural comparison using Hofstede's Cultural Dimensions Theory. The practical part of the thesis includes the characteristics of the research, the actual analysis and results. The thesis is a qualitative content analysis with elements of narrative analysis. For the purposes of the research are used all episodes from the first series of each selected adaptation. In total, it is thirty-seven episodes which are available on the streaming platform Netflix. The use of a puppet when introducing a new group of pupils

The title of the diploma thesis is the use of a puppet in introducing a new group of pupils in the first grade of elementary school. The diploma thesis deals in the theoretical part with the function and potential of the puppet in its use in primary school classes, analyzes the various types of puppets, also focuses on puppeteers - what they should be, what they should know and control. He also deals with mise-en-scène and everything that belongs to it, in addition, a whole chapter deals with the senses of the puppet. The practical part was carried out through action research in a small-class school (1st and 2nd grade) and deals with two teaching blocks - one without the use of a puppet and the other with its use. The results show that thanks to the puppet, the pupils are able to focus more on the lesson, enjoy it more and, above all, communicate better with each other and get to know each other better. Furthermore, the thesis is accompanied by a quantitative research in the form of a structured questionnaire, which investigated the use of puppets in the classroom and teachers' attitudes towards puppets in general.

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o tvorbě udržitelného podnikatelského plánu pro menší start-up, který vstupuje na trh v oblasti seznamování a vztahů. Firma nabízí koučink v oblasti seberozvoje, seznamování a vztahů. Hlavní zjištění této práce zahrnuje, že typický klient je mladý muž s velmi analytickou myslí. Tento klient si vyžaduje logické řešení, které bude vysvětleno v jednotlivých krocích. Také poukazuje na to, že tento podnikatelský model může být velice ziskový, pokud se podnikatel vyhne zbytečným chybám a zvládne rizika.
Differences in reasons for using dating app Tinder considering gender of the users

This bachelor thesis deals with the Tinder phenomenon, specifically focuses on the reasons for using the Tinder application with regard to the gender of users in the Czech Republic according to the theory of use and gratification and whether the behavior of users is consistent with sociobiological theory. Use and gratification theory focuses on discovering why and how people use mass media to meet their needs, in this case Tinder. While the sociolobiological theory explains the natural selection of partners. A questionnaire was used as a method of data collection. The total number of respondents was 261, of which were 137 women and 124 men. The most common reason was "casual dating" and then "long-term relationship". Women copied the common results, but with men "sex" won. The result copies previous research and use and gratification theory, since men use Tinder mainly for sex and physical satisfaction, whereas women tend to use it for social satisfaction. As to whether the results are in line with sociobiological theory, research has proven contradictory, but in some elements theory is still present, for example, men are more interested than women whether women are fit and skinny, whereas women are less interested in appearance than men, yet they still want to present that they are fit, skinny and...

TV dating: search for love or fun?

Bachelor's thesis describe phenomenon of TV Dating Shows. Thesis is focusing on a few elements which TV Dating Shows contain. First of all it explains concept of the reality TV, which shows real people and their true stories. Secondly it investigates motivation of participants and their behaviour in front of cameras. In a third line it look into perception of the love by participants and connection between motivation and behaviour of the participants and their point of view to dating and family. Fourth explored aspect of TV Dating Shows is impact of such type of programmes to society and participants. The thesis confirmed that TV Dating Shows could work as a dating option on condition there is such motivation of all participants. The investigation also confirmed that realisation of the shows is adjusted to viewers expectation and requirements, which are measured by ratings.
